One of Nigeria’s top artistes, Wizkid, no doubt had a humble beginning. While speaking at the Tony Elumelu Foundation Forum, the singer revealed that he earned N250k as his first big amount.
Wizkid is now reportedly one of the richest Nigerian celebs according to Hopper’s Instagram rich list. The Nigerian entertainment industry has experienced considerable growth in recent times as some artistes who were formerly struggling have now become known worldwide.
One of Nigeria’s top artistes, Wizkid, no doubt had a humble start in the entertainment industry as he previously struggled to make a name for himself. Well, the Ojuelegba singer is now a far cry from how he used to be.
While speaking at the Tony Elumelu Foundation Forum, the star boy revealed that his first big amount as a musician was GHC3,724.00 (N250,000).
Interestingly, Wizkid is now reportedly one of the richest musicians in Nigeria according to Hopper’s Instagram rich list. According to the list, Wizkid is worth $12million (N4.3billion).
The singer explained at the Tony Elumelu Foundation Forum that he would ensure the platform he is creating will last for a long time.
Wizkid has worked with international acts such as Skepta, Drake and Beyonce to name a few. The star boy was recently featured on Beyonce’s new album titled Lion King: The Gift.
Their collaboration, Brown Skin Girl, has currently been making waves in the entertainment scene. Other African artises were featured on the Beyonce album including Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Tekno, Mr. Eazi and Yemi Alade. Shatta Wale from Ghana also worked on the project.
