Residents of Krobo Near Antoa in the Kwabre East District of Ashanti Region.
Residents of Krobo, a farming community in Kwabre East of the Ashanti Region are in a celebratory mood, thanks to a the chief in the community Nana Yaw Adom Owusu who donated a two mechanized borehole with a storage poly tank worth thousand of cedis.
The chief came to the aid of Krobo residents after he discovered that the community in the Kwabre East struggle just to fetch water that was even contaminated.
The donation of the merchandised borehole with a storage poly tank comes after the chief inspected that the initial borehole drilled for the people is not enough for the community.
According to Nana Yaw Adom Owusu, the total litres of the two mechanization storage is 30,000.
Presenting the merchandised borehole, the chief of Krobo Nana Yaw Adom Owusu said, his charity was fully funded with his personal income with no support from the Government and his aid was in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 of the United Nation by helping provide a clean sanitation and portable water for drinking.
Nana Yaw Adom said he was motivated after seeing that people struggle just to get a drinking water in the community which affects the residents especially school children.
“I could count close to five social amenities that the community find it difficult to get and I’m ready to help” he said.
Residents of Krobo was grateful to the chief for his charitable deed and emphasized that the facility would go a long way to benefit the village and it environs.
Nana Yaw Adom Owusu then appealed to the residents to put their differences aside and come together to develop the community. He also urge the Assembly to add their quota so that they can achieved their dream of development. Credit; Akwadaa Nyame (Silver FM)
