The chief of Bonwire in the Ejisu municipality of the Ashanti region Nana Bobie Ansah II has called on Ghanaian in the country to take advantage of Government’s policy on the One District One Factory to create job opportunities for the people.
He said the pockets of conflicts and politics in the country did not augur well for development and urged the everyone to ensure that peace prevailed to enable everybody in the country benefit from such policies.
Nana Bobie Ansah said this during the launch of Bonwire kente festival.
He said the time had come for Ghanaians to draw positive plans to attract Government’s support adding; “It is when we help ourselves that we can also get support from others. We need to put aside politics and see ourselves as one.”
Nana Bobie Ansah said it was by embracing unity and peace, among other things, that every community in the municipality would see development to transform the lives of the people.
He then appealed to the government to fixed roads in the Bonwire since Bonwire has become a tourist center in the region and the country as a whole. He said they had suffered enough and appealed to the government to intervene for the tarring of the only major road, which links Abrim to Bonwire and Asonomaso to Bonwire.
He said the nature of the road had been a major concern, adding that when rehabilitated, it would bring relief to the people, who are mostly farmers to transport their produce to the market centre.
Mr Ntim Twumasi Kwaku aka NTK, who is the NPP Vice chairman for Ejisu constituency who represent the member of Parliament in area assured the chief and the people of Bonwire that Government would continue to put in more efforts to move the municipal forward. He government has already awarded the some roads in the Bonwire to contractors and would be completed very soon. Mr Ntim then urge Ghanaian to have faith in the NPP government and vote for Nana Addo so that he would complete all his projects that he has introduce.
Hon Krobea Asante who is the assembly member for Bonwire electoral area also urge the people of Bonwire to exercise restraints since the government has good plan for them.
