From him came a music genre called Hip Life in the 90s. Hip life is the combination of American Hip Hop and Ghanaian traditional High Life music. He has been in the Music business for over 3 decades. He goes by the name Reggie Rockstone.
Quite recently Nana Cass and Dj Emparo got him interviewed on western North’s finest Radio station, Vision FM-102.7.
The grandpapa of Hip Life music enlightened audience about the significance and the shortcomings of record labels. He futher explained and gave reasons why music should be hyped more than the record labels.
He was then asked about his opinion on the current talk of the town, Beyonce-Shatta. He happily replied that Ghanaians should embrace this gigantic collaboration and treat it as enormous as it is. He quickly followed that with a comment saying, featuring a superstar like Beyonce is no joke so Ghanaians must hail Shatta. Reggie Rockstone then pleaded with Ghanaians who are questioning the lyrical capacity of the song to shut up and praise Shatta wale even If he had coughed on the beat. He edged Ghanaians, Africans and all and sundry to throw their unfailing support behind Shatta wale for such a gargantuan feature.
