Teachers and the students of Ajumako Besease Methodist Basic school in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region is said to be seen scampering for safety as they always chased away with a cutlass by mental challenge people’s who have taken over the school.
This was disclose by the headmistress of the school Mrs Mavis Hayfrone Benjamin during the 2nd Speech and Prize Giving Day.
According to her, students who normally went for classes is chased by mentally derailed men who immediately got provoked on sighting the students and brought out a matchet and chased after the students and the staff.
She added that, when ever they could not get hold of anybody, they would descended on some properties belonging to the school and the staffs of the school.
Mrs Hayfrone described the action of these lunatics as a serious threat to the lives of students and the staff of the school, calling for immediate attention by the security services before something bad happened.
Besides the destruction of the school properties, Mrs Hayfrone explained that, both students, parents and teachers always have to leave the school compound before the closing time which affects teaching and learning.
She added that,the population of the school has increased and need infrastructure but due to lack of accommodations, they normally refused to admit new students.Mrs Hayfrone stressed that, they have no electricity in the school which has prevented them from studying ICT in school.”We have computers in the school, but we can not use it because of lack electricity”,she added.
Some of the school children then appealed to the government to include them in the school feeding.They said, most of the school children come to school empty stomach so if there is a school feeding in the school,it will help them stay in the school.
