An aspiring Assembly member for Abuakwa Dadiase-Nsuotem electoral area in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District, Mr David Wireko also known as Unofficial, has pledged to tackle the problem of sanitation in the area if elected.
Mr Wireko, a Media practitioner at Kumasi local base radio station Silver FM is contesting with other four Aspiring Assembly members in the area.
Abuakwa Dadiase-Nsuotem, a business oriented community is littered with filth from some gutters to places close to settlements.
He blame some of the situation on public negligence.
According to him Wireko, a number of disease reported in various health facilities every year has increased.
Those affected includes children, women, doctors, nurses, police officers etc which shows that, the effects of poor sanitation issues don’t discriminate unless you seen clean environment as your priority.
Dadiase, one of the biggest community in the Atwima Nwabiagya South is becoming notorious for filth to the point that health officials have warned of an imminent danger if nothing is done to remedy the situation.
But Mr Wireko David has promised to fixed the problem once and for all if voted into power.
Speaking to the media, Mr Wireko who attributed the outbreak of diseases such as malaria, cholera and typhoid in the area to the poor sanitation, said he would map out strategies with the community members to address the problem.
He appealed to the electorate to give him the nod to enable him deal with the problem particularly de-silting of gutters.
